These 100-Year-Olds Are Living Their Best Lives. Here's How They Do It.

"Stand on your own feet."

When it comes to living our best lives, one group of centenarians have it all down. In an ongoing video series with Allure magazine, a group of 100-year-olds sit down to discuss life. This time, they're offering up advice to 20-year-olds and even their younger selves that will hopefully encourage others to be the happiest they can be.

"Try different things, see what [you] really want to do," one woman says, offering advice to a younger generation. "Take risks."

Another woman adds the importance of letting the tough times go.

"When you're going through a tough time, know that that will pass," she says.

Over the course of the video, a third woman adds that we should never let others bring us down. Instead, "stand on your own feet," she says. "Think for yourself ... everything you do to help yourself makes you stronger."

And when it comes to aging, she adds that we shouldn't think of ourselves as getting old.

"Think back [to when you were] young [and] what you did. If you can do some of what you did when you were young, you're fine. But if you're going to sit there saying, 'Oh, I'm too old for this, I'm too old for that,' and go sit in a park and watch the birds, well ... that's not my thing ... I keep moving," she says.

Other sentiments in the video include being who you are (and accepting it), trying to be happy even when times are rough, breathe deep and hey, pour yourself a glass of wine, too.
